Some Late Christmas Love

I just wanted to share just a little of the fun we had this Christmas...

I bought new stockings this year and they were a little boring, we needed a way to add a little personalization so I made these letters out of scrap fabric and felt.

I just attached them with straight pins for now, next year I will figure something out a little more permanent.

This was our Christmas morning breakfast...

And breakfast the next day, because it was way too cute not to do both ideas...

This is a tunnel you drive through on our light tour, there was no one behind us so we got the boys out.

Easter Kabobs

Cutest things ever, I found an adorable idea on Pinterest, of course, for a treat to make for all the kids on Easter.

All you need is candy melts...

Yumm... I have found these at Hobby Lobby or Wal Mart or wherever there is fancy baking stuff. It comes in different colors which would look a lot better than just white but that would have required me to go to a completely different store. That day it was not happening.

You also need marshmallows...

The last thing you will need are some sticks to put these precious things on.

I used these sticks...

I think they are for making cookie pops or something.

 If you use regular kabob sticks then you can fit more marshmallows on them. However the kabob sticks have a pointed end and some of the kids that would be running around with these on Easter didn't really need pointed objects in their mouths. They would be fine for older kids or adults.

Here's the extremely detailed, difficult to understand directions.

> melt the candy melts per the directions on the bag (microwave for 1 minute then stir until it's all melted)

> dump out all your sprinkles into little individual bowls

> dip your marshmallows into the melted candy and then into sprinkles of your choice and place on wax paper

> once all your marshmallows have dried (it doesn't take long) then place them on the stick/kabob

> top it off with a poor little bunny who doesn't deserve that type of punishment :) sorry

> Let some cute kids finish off what's left

Just a couple tips... 

- I did use a kabob with the pointy end to make a hole through the marshmallow before I put it on the pretty stick. It helped the finish product be not so messy.

- Be careful if you are trying to be healthy because marshmallows covered in candy and sprinkles are deliciously addicting.

- This will make a very pretty mess

Yours may or may not include robots.

Since these will be traveling I found some bags to place them in and contain the sprinkle mess.

Twinkle Lights!

SO sorry about the 2 month hiatus! I love my job but between that, my boys and myself, I stay super busy! I did some fun projects over Thanksgiving that I wanted to share...

This is my favorite! All you do is get a string of Christmas lights and ribbon. I used a short line with 35 lights and ribbon is almost always half off at hobby lobby!

 The first steps are very important. Put in a Christmas movie, get a snack and some comfy clothes on. 

Now figure out how long you want your ribbons to be, cut, and start tying. 

On the green and teal line I tied a single knot. On the red and green line I did double knot. It's totally up to you.

For some reason I had a little pile of burned out Christmas lights and I saw the cutest idea on Pinterest... I painted on my homemade Mod Podge

 (love this stuff) and then just sprinkled on some glitter, let them dry 

and then put them in a bowl.

 So simple, so cute.

And last I did a little garland out of pom poms...
